Madaket is a sprawling village located at the western end of the island and reached by the winding 5 mile long Madaket Road or by its adjacent
The views are exceptional and the atmosphere here is beachy and casual. The creeks, marshes and ponds to the north and east are popular places to fish. To the west and south there is the Atlantic Ocean and great beaches. Boaters and fishermen enjoy both the Harbor, and an inlet called Hither Creek, where small boats find safe moorings and a small marina.
