Wauwinet and Squam are located in the northeasdt corner of Nantucket. This area is extremely beautiful, private and quiet. Most homes in Wauwinet feature views of Nantucket harbor and Great Point Light. Squam offers views of the Atlantic Ocean, Great Point Light to the north and in the distance Sankaty Light to the east.
The check point and access to Great Point and Coatue is at the intersection of Wauwinet and Squam Roads. This preserved spit of beach, a popular beach and fishing destination, is accessible only by 4-wheel drive with a permit.
