On the easternmost edge of the southern shore, Tom Nevers is abutted by conservation land on three sides and the Atlantic surf on the fourth. Many houses here have an upside-down layout so the main living areas capture the stunning views. The landscape is reminiscent of the Scottish moors and leads to a lovely south shore beach.
Just west of Tom Nevers, tucked in the moors along the south shore, Madequecham is the quintessential beach neighborhood, a very lovely, remote and peaceful part of the island.
