Festival Of Wreaths on Nantucket 2017.

Festival of Wreaths on Nantucket

The Festival of Wreaths is being held at the Whaling Museum on Wednesday November 22nd through Sunday November 26th, closed on Thanksgiving Day. This is a silent auction – bid on dozens of beautifully decorated wreaths of different ideas to enjoy and share this holiday season. The Festival of Wreaths entries celebrates the creativity of local Nantucketers.

“ACK Is Where The Heart Is”

Compass Rose Real Estate has been participating in this event since 2010. We have been creating our own handmade wreath, each year, bringing a sense of Christmas spirit to those around us. Last year, we created a wreath with live natural elements: fresh pine, various dried citruses, cinnamon and pine cones. We called this wreath “Citrus & Cinnamon”, celebrating the aromas of the season. This year, Cynthia Lenhart, created a wreath featuring a Nantucket Colonial style home decked out for the holidays. The wreath includes natural pine cones and sparkly pine cone shaped ornaments, festive accents and topped off with the popular Nantucket airport abbreviation showing that, truly, “ACK Is Where The Heart Is”. We are happy to know that someone will enjoy this wreath for many holidays to come.

Nantucketers and visitors on our beautiful island will participate in a silent auction where they are able to write their price under a wreath, and the highest bidder wins.  All proceeds will benefit the Nantucket Historic Association.  Be sure to visit the Festival of Wreaths to view all of the unique and clever holiday creations.
